Instagram story notifications without an account

You can get email notifications about a public Instagram account without having your own Instagram account. Incognitogram Premium checks an account you choose every two hours and emails you when it detects new stories or posts. Plus costs $5 per month for one account; Pro costs $15 per month for up to five.

This is useful when you want to keep up with a creator, a local business, or a public organization without repeatedly opening Instagram. If you only want to watch something once, our free story viewer is enough.

What an alert actually tells you

An alert identifies the public account and the new content detected, with a link back to view it. It is a prompt to check content while it is available. It is not a copy of Instagram's notification feed, and it does not include direct messages, private posts, likes, or follow notifications.

For example, you might track a public venue that announces events in its stories. When a scheduled check detects new content, you receive an email and can decide whether to open the viewer. You do not need to follow the venue or give us an Instagram password.

How to set up email alerts

1. Check the username for free. Search on Incognitogram and confirm it is the public account you want. A private account cannot be tracked.
2. Choose Plus or Pro. Plus covers one account for $5/month. Pro covers up to five for $15/month. Use the email address where you want to receive alerts.
3. Complete checkout and sign in. Payment is handled by Stripe. Use the sign-in link sent to your email to open your Incognitogram account.
4. Confirm the account to track. If you started from a profile, its username is carried into setup. Confirm it in your dashboard; otherwise add the public username there.
5. Watch for newly detected content. Tracking needs to be enabled for that account. Check your spam folder if expected emails are missing.

How quickly will an email arrive?

Checks are scheduled every two hours. Alerts are not instant, and two hours is the checking interval rather than a guaranteed delivery deadline. Upstream availability, a failed check, or email delivery can add delay. Content posted and removed between checks may never be detected.

For time-sensitive content, open the profile yourself as well. A story that has already expired or been deleted may no longer be available when you follow the email link.

Does the 90-day history save expired stories?

No. The dashboard's 90-day posting activity history records detected activity. It is not a permanent video or photo archive, and subscribing does not recover content that disappeared before tracking started. View or download available content while it is live.

What you need—and what you do not

• A public Instagram username, an email address you can access, and a paid plan for automatic tracking.
• No Instagram login, follow, or app installation. We do not sign in as you.
• No access to private accounts, Close Friends stories, deleted content, or another person's messages.
• You can cancel from your account and keep access through the period already paid for.
